Marcia M. Barraza De Paz is an experienced Spanish Medical Interpreter, trainer, and curriculum developer with years of expertise in hospitals, clinics, legal settings, and community health programs.
Her interpreting career spans medical, legal, educational, and social service environments, including work in IEP meetings, DDD programs, and critical care medical encounters. She is also a professional translator for medical, legal, and lifestyle publications.
Marcia is passionate about mentoring the next generation of interpreters. She has taught at the community college level and created online training programs that combine industry standards with practical, hands-on learning.
Through her leadership, bilingual professionals have gained the skills and confidence to provide life-changing language access in healthcare settings.
When she’s not teaching, Marcia enjoys sharing her Mexican culinary traditions through her project ¡A Comer! con Marcia, where she builds community around cooking and culture.
